One of the manifesto promises by the current executives of the Students presentative council, Koforidua Technical University was to covey students who came to campus in the evening to learn during examination week. This promise has come to see the day of light with lunch on the 9th of February 2020.
The SRC believes the safety of students back to hostels after studying on campus is a major concern as students were being attacked, assaulted, robbed of their belonging. Some female students are also a victim of rape.
Statistic on student’s attack of Koforidua Technical University during the examination week over the years is quite alarming.
The SRC President H.E. Obed Safo Kantanka when ask by the DeInsider.com, “The safety of students on campus is my major concern, just yesterday we witness a suspected thief who robbed around the Elite Hostel but was apprehended by some students. I believe this is the right time for this service, this is the first time ever students will be conveyed back to their hostels”.
